During D-Day the Americans had many successes over failures. One great success was that the allies tricked the Germans in thinking we were landing on the north of Pas de Calais rather than the real landing areas. This was great because it caused a distraction to the Germans and helped the allies get across enemy lines and get a head up. Also another great success was the fact that the allies used all land, air, and sea elements going against the the Germans. This caused an overwhelming swarm of troops that was to much for the Germans to handle. Next because of the great leaders of the allies they had all the tactics in hand. Basically they knew exactly the best tactical places to land to storm the Germans. All of these above points lead to great success for the allies in turn winning this battle for them.
